In January, we saw a post on Facebook by a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse who posted about their need for quilted incubator covers at MMUH. And we thought: we can do that.
Obviously, this is quite ambitious. And we mulled over the idea on how we can make this happen with our community.
Not everyone is a sewist or has access to a sewing machine, but there are a multitude of ways for people to get involved whether they sew or not.
We have decided to host a Brainstorming Event to see who’s interested to take part, to explain more about the quilts, what they are used for, how they are made and to hear from you and how you want to be involved.
Part of our idea of starting this Bearwood Craftivisting project is to see what we as a community can do together.
