Trash Talk

Want to meet new people in Bearwood? Sick of seeing rubbish left on the high street? Want to get a bit of exercise after school/work?

Then join us for our new regular litterpicking group after work/school! A social way to meet new people whilst helping to make our roads safer and cleaner.

Everyone is welcome, whether you want to dip-in and out, or come every fortnight. Trash Talk has been coordinated by local Roy Bustin as a way to tackle rubbish left along Bearwood’s High Street.

Starting fortnightly on July 18th, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.

Contact Lizzie at communityhub@bearwood.cc or on 07421748565 to be added to the WhatsApp group.

What do I need to bring?

Just yourself! Equipment has provided by Litterwatch Sandwell as part of their Coronation Clean programme, we have hi-vis jackets, hoops, bags and pickers, so you can just turn up and take part.

Where you can find us?

You can meet Roy at the Kings Head Clock at Hagley Road End of the High Street. Keep an eye out for hi-vis jackets and people carrying litterpickers!

Adopt-A-Street

Have you heard of Litterwatch Sandwell’s Adopt-A-Street project?

The idea is simple, join the Litterwatch volunteers team and adopt your street by helping to remove litter and report problems like fly-tipping. Litterwatch provide all the kit, including rubbish bags, and will even arrange to take the rubbish away for you!
